There has been a mass exodus of 2.3 million Christians from Syria. Of the 60,000 Christians in Homs (third largest city), less than 1,000 remain. Christians are killed and tortured while their women are raped and churches destroyed. "Terrorists" with green or black headbands beat up Christians and destroy their property, or use them as human shields on battlefields. Many senior leaders of the Syrian churches have fled to Lebanon for safety, along with their church members (Christian Post 28/3/13).
