Two examples how Islam raises kids to hate all else
This is what happened in Sydney in the last couple of days.
Today, the mother had to go to the police in order to inform if the child is doing well. I wonder if the child even knows how to read, and was just given the placard to carry.
All the violence in Sydney points out that the second generation muslims here in Australia just don't assimilate as well as our failed multiculturalism claims.
Here it is the link if you want to to follow up this news.

PCUSA says spanking is wrong
The 220th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA) narrowly passed a resolution Thursday against using corporal punishment on children, the Christian Post reports. The resolution, which passed 334 to 306 with nine voters abstaining, also states that the PCUSA will now encourage "all states to enact licensing laws prohibiting corporal punishment in schools and day and residential childcare facilities." Many Christians believe corporal punishment is a biblical practice -- Proverbs 13:24 says, "Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them" -- while others believe children can be effectively disciplined in a non-physical way, and the resolution was controversial among General Assembly members. "Most people know the difference between discipline and abuse," the Rev. James Emig of the Denver Presbytery said. "I would like us to trust parents that most of them can responsibly [use] corporal punishment." Commissioner Susan Maara of the New Hope Presbytery argued: "If we can't stand against hitting and abusing children, what can we stand for? Let us love and not hit them."Well, once again, they have shown that they don't care what Scripture says.
They are being led by the spirit of the age.

Sex change for kids on the rise. A bad sign of the culture we live in
I blogged yesterday about a grown woman who decided wanted to be a man, yet, gave birth to a girl!!??
Today, I offer to you some bad news, that you don't have to grown up in order adopt this type of madness. AP reports:

Today, I offer to you some bad news, that you don't have to grown up in order adopt this type of madness. AP reports:
A small but growing number of teens and even younger children who think they were born the wrong sex are getting support from parents and from doctors who give them sex-changing treatments, according to reports in the medical journal Pediatrics.
It's an issue that raises ethical questions, and some experts urge caution in treating children with puberty-blocking drugs and hormones. From small, it's growing. This is a concern. And the fact that even professionals are concerned about it, should tell us something.
An 8-year-old second-grader in Los Angeles is a typical patient. Born a girl, the child announced at 18 months, "I a boy" and has stuck with that belief. The family was shocked but now refers to the child as a boy and is watching for the first signs of puberty to begin treatment, his mother told The Associated Press.I wonder if you listen to all your 18 months old toddler tells you. I remember that my first daughter, who is almost 17 yrs now, told me that her blanket had special powers. It took us some effort to finally get her blanket away from her. It was not right to take that piece of cloth everywhere. These parents don't sound like responsible parents, rather, allow their child to indulge. And to top it all, what sort of parents listen to their 18 months old and follow exactly what they say??
Switching gender roles and occasionally pretending to be the opposite sex is common in young children. But these kids are different. They feel certain they were born with the wrong bodies.
Some are labeled with "gender identity disorder," a psychiatric diagnosis. But Spack is among doctors who think that's a misnomer. Emerging research suggests they may have brain differences more similar to the opposite sex.
Spack said by some estimates, 1 in 10,000 children have the condition. Some kids are different, and yes, they may have a kind of condition that is not common, as we can see, 1 in 10,000. However, if we want to give drugs to people with a mental condition, so they can carry on with their lives like the rest of us, why then some parents do this with their kids when it comes to their sexual identity?

No marriage is bad for kids
I have a lot of friends who are just cohabiting (living together as a couple without getting married) and yet, producing children. Some see this as a good option, since there can be some problems, and one or both in the couple can opt to go their own way.
To me, this is not common sense, but a way to get sex for free, no commitment or responsibilities, and to avoid having to confront the problems that a committed relationship such as marriage must face from time to time.
The study from Virginia University in the USA gives us 5 reasons why co-habiting is not good for children.
1. Children are less likely to thrive in cohabiting households,
compared to intact, married families
2. Family instability is generally bad for children
3. American family life is becoming increasingly unstable for
children. (This is true for most of Western culture)
4. The growing instability of American family life also means
that contemporary adults and children are more likely to live
in what scholars call “complex households,”. (Again, this is easily applied to other countries)
5. The nation’s retreat from marriage has hit poor and working class communities with particular force.
The last point is of great concern, since the article goes on to say that the better off and better educated you are, the most likely you will marry, while those worst off and less educated, won't.
This should sound alarms to those who are practicing cohabitation. Although some cohabitating parents do have a successful relationship, the trend is that kids being brought up in such relationships, will generally have a lesser chance at succes in life than those who are raised within a marriage.
Read the article, and be informed.

Sesame Street stands against up Gay pressure
Let me commend the producers of Sesame Street, for saying no to a petition that Bert and Earnie should marry.
"The recurring question of whether "Sesame Street" characters Bert and Ernie are gay has raised its head anew. And the answer from "Sesame Street" is, as always, a resounding no.
"Sesame Street" today posted the following statement on its Facebook page:
Bert and Ernie are best friends. They were created to teach preschoolers that people can be good friends with those who are very different from themselves.
Even though they are identified as male characters and possess many human traits and characteristics (as most Sesame Street Muppets do), they remain puppets, and do not have a sexual orientation."
