Doesn't he know that this "Lord's Army" kidnaps kids, uses them as slave soldiers, and rapes the girls they kidnap, and mutilate parents who don't want to give their children to the "army", and believe that bullets won't hurt them, and their leaders are war criminals wanted by the International Court of Justice?
Isn't this guy the most disgusting, ignorant, ill informed right wing hate monger on American radio?
Rush, I don't know if your ignorance is greater than your stupidity. The sad thing is that many ill informed, easily lead right wing christians listen to you, and believe your lies.
Here it's a simple response from a less talented person than you, but who speaks the truth:

Get a grip, this may be your last day on earth, again
For Harold Camping, predicting the end of the world has turned out to be more like a hobby, than a real attempt to predict the future.
Camping, this time around, is not taking chances, he may get it wrong again:
So, here in Australia, we have past the 21st of October, yet, we are still here, alive and well. But wait, Camping is American, and thinks that God works in American time. Oh well, I am happy I, and my love ones are alive.
Today might be the end of the world, but Family Radio Network preacher Harold Camping, whose last Doomsday prediction in May fizzled, doesn't want to make a big fuss of it this time.Yeah, he is not answering the phone, or giving interviews, like last time. I guess he got a boost by the earthquake that took place yesterday in San Francisco. But hey, when doesn't it tremble in California? I grew up there, I should know, at the end, I didn't pay attention to the tremors.
Camping, this time around, is not taking chances, he may get it wrong again:
Camping, who suffered a stroke in the weeks after his May 21 for the End of the World failed to materialize, reset the date for Oct. 21, but has notably sprinkled his prediction with "probably" and "maybe."
So, here in Australia, we have past the 21st of October, yet, we are still here, alive and well. But wait, Camping is American, and thinks that God works in American time. Oh well, I am happy I, and my love ones are alive.

The Chinese girl ran over by two vans, dies. Sad story
I think that this news has really hit me, because I have a two year old, and this has really, really hurt me. How can people be so heartless? And things get worst when you read what the first driver was doing when he did this atrocity, fighting with her then ex-girlfriend on the phone. He left the girl for dead, and drove away.
Now is time for soul searching in China. How their new found wealth has produced such selfish people. And this goes both for the victims and those who want to help them. Many good samaritans have been taken to court by people who have suffered a sort of calamity, in order to get money from them. The response to this, is what we have seen on the news, no one wants to help anybody.
This is one of the things we have to thanks the marvellous rise of living. It creates greed in victims and apathy in those who witness the misfortunes of others.
Here is the link for the news of such a sad ending for this little girl.
May she rest in peace now. May God have mercy on those who ran over her, and on those who didn't help. They will have to live with that shame till they die.

About the Chinese 2 yr. old who was run over by 2 cars, and 17 people just walked around her. Despicable.
I started looking at the video, but turned it off after the first run over of the girl. For a person who was brought up in a country that was going through civil war, I have grown weary when I see such things.
I just can't believe that China, a country with high family values, would let this happen. I admit that there's a great threat that in helping someone, you may be taken to jail for it. But a girl was lying, bleeding, and needed help.
I remember more than 20 yrs ago, in Los Angeles, in La Cienega Blvd, some UCLA students did a test, they were beating up a little boy, and nobody complained. But then, they beat up a dog, and people were up in arms, trying to stop such carnage!!!
This is what happens when human beings are taken off the center or pinacle of God's creation, and are just placed among the other "animals".
I watch the Animal Planet Channel, and when a lion tries to eat an Antelope, or other new borne animal, the older ones gather around to defend it. Humans seems to have lost that communal touch.
Here it's the news link. The girl is doing better, but may suffer brain demage. Sad, I have a 2 yrs. old, and I can put myself in the father's shoes.

There are Palestinians Christians
It really bothers me when Zionist christians ask always to pray for Israel, but never, NEVER ask or pray for their Palestinians brothers and sisters, who are both harassed by Israel and the Islamic Palestinian Authorities.
For many Western christians, these believers just don't exist. Israel's security trumps these christians' securities.
I share these video, in the hope that you will be aware that there are christians in Israel and Palestine, that need our prayers, which is our obligation, since we belong to the same family.

The Emerging Church has not emerged. An appraisal
I have had to encounter the "emergent church" quite a lot in my denomination. A couple of years ago, there were like obsessed about it, to the point that somebody did a Th.D. on the movement.
But yes, it is not showing sings that the new approach is working as it was expected. Is it because it is too soon to expect it. or is it because we live in a society that wants instant gratification?
Well, here it's an essay that I find very balance, although it leans a bit to the emergent movement, I still find it very interesting.

The Emerging Church has not emerged. I hear this statement a lot. Another one I hear is, “Missional churches are not growing.” To begin with, I realise some missional gatherings are just a bunch of recalcitrant kids, including some grownups who haven’t grown up. They are doing the missional thing because it’s ‘cool’ and they got sick of the established church telling them to grow up. But more importantly, what are leaders and denominations looking at or looking for when they measure growth?
Is it designated buildings for worship, an increase in attendees, or several church ‘plants’ over a given period? Is growth defined by a church’s budget or the employment of full-time staff? If you’re looking for these ‘evidences’ of growth in a missional church, you may not find them.
From where I stand, missionary churches (I prefer this term) have several clear characteristics. To begin with, they take the bare bones, pre-Constantinian New Testament way of doing church very literally, often adopting some of the Jewish/Eastern cultural expressions that go along with it. They make deliberate attempts to function more like a group of missionaries on a foreign mission field. In true missionary fashion, they learn the language or (in a western context) the lingo or jargon, and they try to submerge their ecclesiology into the particular sub-culture they are trying to reach. All of this takes time—sometimes years of icebreaking and relationship-building occurs before the first ‘official’ meeting (if you could call it that). I grew up among headhunters on the mission field in Indonesia. It is common for missionaries to spend years and years working among Muslims or Hindus without a single convert. This doesn’t necessarily mean that their methods are deficient. The New Testament frequently uses agricultural-type metaphors to describe the Kingdom of God. This is where the term ‘seeding the gospel’ comes from. Therefore, finding evidence of growth or ‘fruit’ in such settings can be tricky, especially if one evaluates things from a contemporary Church Growth mindset where economies of scale and pragmatism are often influencing factors.I am not saying that all ‘Church Growth’ principles do not have merit and I am not suggesting that attractional (or established) churches do not have ministry beyond the monoculture. I agree that some missional churches don’t seem to be making much progress, but the same could be said of some attractional churches. I know of many attractional churches that have had to lay off the pastor and close their doors. It’s tough out there. We are in a pagan era that is most likely more resistant to the gospel than the pre-Christian paganism of the first century.I feel we need to better understand each other and dissolve this ‘us versus them’ mindset that is dividing some great people from both camps who love Jesus and are trying to grow saints and save sinners. I am not necessarily advocating for some kind of new ecumenism, but both the attractional and missional churches can greatly benefit from liaising together, and working toward ways where mission, discipleship and leadership are shared and celebrated. Is Mormonism a cult?
By Jim West.
Viewed from the perspective of historic, orthodox Christianity, the answer is an irrefutable yes, it is. But why is it so deemed? Two reasons, primarily:
1- It devalues the uniqueness of Jesus Christ. He is not, for Mormons, THE Unique Son of God- he is merely one of many sons and daughters of God. For orthodox Christians, Jesus is the Son of God in a particular and profound way. And while all those who have faith are the children of God, they are not 'in the same league' as Jesus.
And
2- It asserts a secondary revelation, absent from Scripture, claimed to be equal to Scripture (the so called 'Book of Mormon'). for orthodox Christians Scripture is 'complete' and secondary accretions are both unnecessary and unwarranted and therefore illegitimate. Further, numerous claims in the book of Mormon contravene the teaching of Scripture. That fact alone is sufficient reason to disregard its views.
Now, that said, it must also be said that there are certainly adherents of the Mormon faith who are authentic Christians. But how can this be? Simply put, there are Mormons as unfamiliar with the intricacies of Mormon doctrine as there are Baptists and Catholics and Methodists utterly bereft of any comprehension of the doctrinal views of their particular denominations. We are not saved, however, by our doctrine- we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ.
So, yes, there are Mormons who are authentic Christians even though their particular faith perspective on the whole fails to measure up to Christian orthodoxy. And there are Baptists and Catholics and even Methodists and Presbyterians and Anglicans and Episcopalians (!) in the fold of Christ as well. Just as there are members of those denominations outside the faith because they don't truly trust Christ for salvation.
We should all give thanks to God that our purity of doctrinal comprehension isn't the basis for our salvation. Were that the case, salvation would itself be lost because then it would depend on us (and on our views) and not on Christ, who died for us.

A good resource for Textual Criticism
I've been having a conversation in a Facebook discussion group regarding the Textus Receptus (TR) or later or earlier Greek texts should be trusted as good sources to translate the Word of God. My scepticism for the TR is, I think, well grounded.
Nevertheless, I would like to offer this link where you can find a website dedicated to textual criticism. It is from an Evangelical point of view, so if you read it, you won't find people like Bart Ehrman, and the like.
Hope you put it in your bible links.
